What are your hours of operation?

Pro Shop hours vary by season. Check our website or call the pro shop (734) 453-1047 for current hours.

How do I book a tee time?

Book online through our website or call the pro shop (734) 453-1047.

How far in advance can I book a tee time?
  • Cardinal Club, Corporate Club or Shorty Club Members may reserve 30 days in advance.
  • General Public can book tee times 14 days in advance.
  • Residents of Plymouth, Northville, Novi, Livonia, Canton and South Lyon can book tee times 7 days in advance after 12pm.
  • Resort Guests can book their tee time after their hotel room is booked.
What is your cancellation policy?

Any tee time cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the tee time.

What are the green fees?

Rates vary by day, time, and season. See our website for current pricing. We accept major credit cards and cash.

Do you offer memberships or season passes?

Yes. We have the Premier Cardinal Club Membership, Junior Executive Cardinal Club Membership, National Club Membership, The Corporate Club Membership and The Shorty Membership. Check out our Membership page on our website.

How many courses do you have?
  • The Cardinal Championship Golf Course is an 18-hole Championship Course with multiple tee boxes to suit all skill levels. It is a Par 72, and it can play as long as 7002 yards.
  • The Little Cardinal is our 7-hole par-3 course. It has multiple tee boxes to suit all skill levels
  • The Cardinal Putting Course is our 2-acre 18-Hole Putting Course.
What is the course rating?

Course and slope ratings for The Cardinal are as follows:

  • Black Tees 73.3/137
  • Cardinal Tees 71.9/131
  • White Tees 68.9/128
  • Gold Tees: Men 65.9/118, Women 71.5/126
  • Green Tees: Men 62.4/110, Women 66.3/115
Do you have a driving range and practice area?
  • Yes. The south side of the driving range is included in your green fee and you can access the south side of the driving range 30 minutes before your tee time.
  • Without a tee time, you can purchase range balls at Carl’s Golfland located on the property of Saint John’s Resort.
Can I rent carts or pull/push carts?
  • Your round on The Cardinal Championship Golf Course includes a shared cart. Foursomes will go out in no more than 2 carts. Walking is permitted provided you are able to keep the pace of play.
  • The Little Cardinal is a walking-only Par 3 course. Push Carts are available.
Can I bring a guest to ride along and not play?

Yes, you may bring a guest to ride along. The fee per rider is $25.

Do you have rental clubs?

Yes, we have the newest Callaway golf clubs for rent. The price per rental bag is $75 and it includes 6 Callaway golf balls. Call the Pro Shop to reserve your set.

Do you offer private instruction?

Private lessons and group clinics are taught by PGA professionals from Carl’s Golfland located on the property of Saint John’s Resort. Please contact Carl’s Golfland for more information.

Does Saint John’s Resort allow drones or quadcopters on the property?

Our primary focus at Saint John’s Resort is providing a peaceful and safe place to work and play for our guests and employees. We strive to make sure the guest experience is unimpeded and that we respect everyone’s individual privacy. Because of these reasons, we prohibit unmanned aerial systems by our guests unless directly hired to do so for media reasons and pre-approved by management.

Do you offer Youth On Course?

Youth on Course is accepted on The Little Cardinal and The Cardinal Putting Course. It is not available on The Cardinal Championship Golf Course.

Can you host tournaments, corporate outings, or weddings?

Yes. We offer tournament packages, catering through the resort, and event coordination. Please fill out our tournament request form and our Tournament Coordinator will contact you.

What is the dress code?

Appropriate casual golf attire is requested. Soft spikes only, please. Denim is not permitted on the golf courses.

Are pets allowed?

Service animals are permitted in accordance with ADA regulations. Pets are not allowed on the course or in the Pro Shop.

What is your raincheck policy?

Rain checks may be issued if inclement weather forces the closure of the course or if it starts raining after you have started the 1st hole. If there is lightning in the area, play will be suspended until the lightning is out of the area. Rain checks will not be issued for reasons other than weather conditions unless determined by course management.

Can I bring my own food and beverages?

Saint John’s Resort has Doyles Irish Pub, Five Steakhouse, The Wine Grotto and on-course food and beverage options. No outside food and beverages are allowed on the golf courses.
